Welcome to the website of the IISc Randonneurs, the Indian Institute of Science's randonneuring club.

Randonneuring is a non-competitive, self-supported, long-distance cycling activity typically enjoyed by experienced and serious cyclists. We conduct both Populaires (rides less than 200km) and Brevets (200, 300, 400 and 600km rides).

If you're new to randonneuring, read our what to expect on your first randonnée page.

To get involved, please write to us on the email mentioned at the bottom of this page.

Upcoming Events
  • Closure of the IISc Randonneurs
The IISc Randonneurs had stopped organising brevets post the change in the way brevets were managed in 2015 . Since then other organisations have been conducting ACP sanctioned brevets in Bangalore.
We still treasure the free spirited rides and the ethos of randonneuring that prevailed before 2015. Bangalore Brevets do still conduct a couple of rides every year (including the iconic Bliss in the Hills) in the same spirit and ethos that was the essence of the IISc Randonneurs. We urge all riders to keep riding with these other organisers.
We thank all riders and volunteers for making IISc Randonneurs and the associated rides possible. The web-page will continue to be around as a repository of ride routes and a collection of  brevet experiences. We hope that this will be of use. For now, we bid adieu !!
