Who's Who

With so many characters in the wizarding world, especially when considering the apocrypha, it's enough to make your head spin! On occasion, I dove deep into my research on certain topics to figure out who's who.

Headmasters in Canon sets the record straight after an awful lot of incorrect information was disseminated about Newt Scamander in light of the Fantastic Beasts movie announcement. Using only the canonical text (after defining what that is), I figure out who the Headmasters of Hogwarts were throughout the 20th century, and why Scamander can't be one. Written in October 2013.

The Revised Forty updates the classlist of Harry's year that Jo showed during Harry Potter and Me with her writing in "The Original Forty" to present an up-to-date roster of Harry's year with as much canon information as we have. Written in March 2016; will be updated if necessary.

Albus Dumbledore and the Career Change dives into the canon to decode whether it's possible (or likely) that Dumbledore is canonically teaching Defense Against Dark Arts in Crimes of Grindelwald. Written in summer 2018.

And in June 2021, I went deep into the topic of Death Eaters - and there's still plenty more I want to write about with Voldemort's minions!
