Biology is science, creationism is not. Masquerading creationism as being equivalent scientifically to biology/evolution makes a mockery of science.
Advocates of creationism often cite evolution as just a theory. But the definition of theory in science is one that is well supported by objective observations, rational analysis and empirical evidence.
There is ample evidence to support evolution as scientific fact.
Recent finds of transitional fossils in the Canadian Arctic and advances in genetics lend irrefutable support to Darwinism. There are no facts which support creationism.
It does not come close to being a scientific theory. Only superstition and outdated religious teaching are used to try and prop up creationism.
Hong Kong has more than its fair share of so-called prestigious and well-funded religious schools to promote and indoctrinate children with the ideas espoused by creationism.
We definitely do not need more of this propaganda to be allowed in the curriculum of government schools.
Creationism does not belong to any school curriculum as it does not have any educational value.
It should be consigned to dusty bookshelves alongside books on myths, astrology and paganism.
