余妙仙 Yu Mui Sin

余妙仙生於澳門，曾於香港萬國藝術專科學校，香港中文大學及浸會學院校外部進修藝術，余氏以一系列浪花及礁石爲創作主題，通過兩者剛柔輕重間之對比，產生強烈的藝術感染力。曾於海內外各地舉辦多次個展，及參加多項國際性展覽。曾獲香港市政局藝術獎，亞洲婦女書畫一等獎，92國際水墨畫優秀獎，及台灣92水墨畫創新獎

YU was born in Macau. She first received her professional training at the Hong Kong International Art School and has attended the painting courses organized by The Department of Extra-mural Studies of Chinese University of Hong Kong and The Hong Kong Baptist College. Yu has exhibitioned widely in Taiwan, America, Korea, Morocco, Philippines, China and Hong Kong.She has held nine solo shows in U.S.A., Canada and Hong Kong. In 1989, her painting won the Urban Council Fine Arts Award in the Contemporary Hong Kong Art Biennial Exhibition. YU's painting was awarded the first prize in 'The First Asian Female Art Competition, held in People's Republic of China in 1990, a certificate of distinction by 'The Organizing Committee of International Ink Wash Painting Competition^, in China 1992, and a prize for 'Innovation and Experimental Chinese Ink Painting'in Taiwan,1992
