讀番書、做研究、閒來碰上了水墨。人生短暫， 學海無涯。望將往昔經驗與水墨創
作融合；嘗試以流體動力學推動現代水墨， 亦從科學領域內的方式來鑽研中國水墨技法與物料， 希望最終卻能做出突破、昇華、撼人的作品。
啟蒙老師是陳銚鴻醫生。2011年修畢黃大仙聖公會導師培訓課程，並在社署慈雲山綜合家庭中心任義務畫班導師。
曾參加2011，2012 香港藝術界慶回歸大匯展、2011 桂林聖保羅中巴國際書畫交流展、2011，2013 創意水墨展、2011 首屆國際書画作品邀請展、2012 南北山水八十一家創作展(新加坡）及2013 彩之墨畫展等。現為香港現代水墨畫會及當代創意水墨畫會學術委員、彩之墨畫會及香港美術研究會會員。
Rick Chan
Study abroad, do research, and then leisurely bump into Ink Art Painting. Life is temporary yet knowledge unbounded. Hope to use my research experience to remold Ink Painting; though when perceived with fluid dynamics one could disclose a scientific domain within Chinese Ink Painting technique and practice; notwithstanding to empower a breakthrough, sublime and compelling an art work.
Learned from my former mentor, Lawrence Chan as surgeon, who inspired and nourished me in Calligraphy and Traditional Painting. Continued Training: 2008-2011 Completed Wong Tai Sin Anglican tutor painting training courses, and had served as art tutor in Tsz Wan Shan Integrated Family Centre.
Selective for Recent Group Exhibition: 2011-12 in Hong Kong Reunification Exposition, 2011 the 6th Guilin (China) and Sao Paul (Brazil) Exchange Exhibition of Calligraphy and Paintings, 2011, 2013 Contemporary Innovative Ink Painting, 2011 of the FirstInternational Invitational Exhibition of Paintings and Calligraphy Works, 2012 the 81 Artists from The North and South in Singapore and 2013 Beauty of Ink.
Currently serve as academic committee for both the Hong Kong Modern Ink Painting Society and the Contemporary Innovative Ink Painting Association. Also hold memberships of Beauty of Ink.
