張氏從東方哲學的藝術創作之道,順應自然,深入探究,從傳統中國山水的表象底下,以抽象的意念,自然物象與傳統語言的整合重構,創造出當代“炁”象山水。

Martha Cheung

Martha’s love for art was cultivated at a young age. She is passionate about painting and is particularly drawn to its capacity for unbound imagination.

Upon graduating from university, she worked in design and product development. In 2011 and 2015, she respectively completed Chinese Painting Diploma courses from the Chinese University of Hong Kong and the School of Continuing and Continuing Education of the University of Hong Kong. She loves that Chinese ink painting is not rocket science, and it is not confined by any discipline.

The shape and form of Chinese Paintings are closely tied to Taoism - originating from nature while incorporating certain level of flexibility and autonomy, which in turns allows the injection of individual creativity – depicting the majestic mountains and vast horizons using traditional Chinese calligraphic brush strokes. The seamless integration of nature and traditional languages ultimately leads to the creation of contemporary " Qi " landscape.
