A snack from Curaçao made with a typical Dutch product: cheese. I like to make the 'Kaasbal' with 'oude kaas', but my mom and one of my sisters prefer 'Jonge kaas', because they have to watch their salt intake. In my family, my youngest sister and I made this snack every holiday or birthday.
1 ½ lb. cheese (750g, 'oude kaas')
6 eggs
1 tablespoon baking powder
1 teaspoon paprika
A little pepper
2 tablespoons butter
2 large spoons milk
2 cup flour
Cut the cheese in small pieces
Mix the cheese together with the eggs, baking powder, paprika, pepper, butter and milk
Add the flour little by little until everything is well mixed.
Mix it well and make a big ball
Make small balls from the big ball
Fry them in oil.
Disfrutá di bo Kaasbal!
