Eogalactic Period
Part of the Mesoproteimeran Era
Paleocelestial Period - Eogalactic Period - Neogalactic Period
The Eogalactic Period is the first period of the Mesoproteimeran Era and the third period of the Protomeiran Eon. The Eogalactic begins with the formation of the first galaxies and ends with the formation of the Milky Way. The ending point of this period would prove insignificant in a history of the universe as a whole, but rather, it serves as the first point in time where the scope of the timescale may be narrowed, as it would again at the start of the Neoproteimeran Era and again at the start of the Hadean Eon. This sudden change is due to the Earth-centric nature of the timescale in use. Most of the Eogalactic saw continued series of galaxy creation.
The Eogalactic is not further subdivided into epochs.
