Xtranormal

Xtranormal is free to use in a limited way, enough for most ELT needs. Note that when choosing your scene, if the symbol next to the pictures is green, it is free, if it is red, it needs to be paid.

To embed a completed video, it is necessary to click on your video's title: the link and embed codes then appear on the right of the video. They can be copied and pasted.

It is necessary to register for Xtranormal, as this allows your videos to be saved and accessed easily. You can even create playlists - sets of videos.

Their homepage can be reached by clicking here.

Nik Peachey's blog has several entries concerning xtranormal: do take a look at them.

Idiom Dialogues

When used as an activity promoting creativitiy and language production, students will devise their own texts. But there is also a large set of dialogues from BBC radio in the early 1990s which could be used in Xtranormal for various purposes.

I have them on an old site here and hopefully, they can appear on this site in the not too distant future.

Here is an article about xtranormal as a Web 2.0. tool. You willl notice that this is article is in a Google site!

The video on the right was created using Xtranormal, a web-based tool that allows you to type in a dialogue and add a variety of effects. It can then be embedded into webpages.
