What is Project Management-
5 processes
5 pillars
Initiate a project:
- get everyone on board
- requirements
- verification
- prior questions
- grading scale for data collection
*adds specificity for different data points for analysis
*tool for leveling playing field for comparative data points- get all analysts on the same page of agreement.
*takes subjectivity away.
*increases efficiency to delegate
NOTE: Patience is key for Project Manager- (Goes back to the body language).
ex. If you want an outcome from a stakeholder- sit next to the stakeholder. this needs to be done with substance as well as strategy.

Game 1 Contintued:
Finding a Building (Solution)
1. How do you drive consensus to a decision in your team?
- discuss pros/cons
- get everyone on the same page
- voting
- take responsiblity
- use a grading scale
- set expectation
2. What are the steps for initiating a project?
- feasibilty study: Can we do a project?
NOTE: (Task- we created a page- used Collaborative Tools- a common place to input for the whole team). Trying to make collaboration autonomous.
- create a list of requirements - these may be verified or assumed
- list of questions to verify assumptions?: Use a survey or interview the Stakeholder with a list of questions.
- complete the list of verified tops requirements (i.e. 7)
Next- find the Building- using the grading scale tool.
3. What is the use of creating a grading scale? (see above)
- Helps you to use a level-comparison data field to back up your rating
- if you need to drive an outcome, this can be helpful.
4. How are tools useful for collaboration?
- look at loopnet, cityfeet search, etc- to grab real data to back projections.
5. How do you cope with the 'prima-donna' colleague?
- assigned a task given 3 days- but key resource tells you they won't be in tomorrow. Don't be confrontational but set the expectation that member will meet their obligation.
6. Create a primary and backup
7. Prepare a presentation - google presentation
(a) Project title- team and project scope
(b) Approach- Analysis criteria
(c) Requirements
(d) Solution 1 - how are requirements met?
(e) Backup solution - how are requirements met?
(f) Financial consequences
(g) Next steps
