Proofs for Baha'u'llah Outline
Jesus' Prophecies of Name
a. Jesus prophesied Baha'u'llah by name in Mark 8:38
“for whosoever is ashamed of me and my word sin this adulterous and sinful generation, of him will the Son of man also be ashamed when he comes in the glory of his Father with the holy angels. (See also Matt 16:27; Luke 9:26)
b. “glory” is English for an Aramaic word for Baha', the tongue of Jesus.
c. Jesus says the Son of man is going to return in Baha'u'llah, meaning that the 'glory of the Father' is going to be a man.
2. Address
a. “afterward he brought me to the gate, the gate facing East” Ez 43:1
b. the forerunner of Baha'u'llah was the Bab. The Bab was John the Baptist for Baha'u'llah, Bab means “Gate” he preached in Iran, in the east.
c. “And behold, the glory of God of Isarael came from the east” Ez. 43:2
d. Baha'u'llah was exiled from Tehran in Persia as a prisoner, and was taken in chains to the prison of Akka near Mt. Carmel in Israel. Thus Baha'ullah came to Israel from the East, fulfilling this prophecy.
“and the sound of his coming was like the sound of many waters, and the earth shone with his glory (baha).” Ez 43:2
e. in the 17th chapter of Revelation, the “many waters” means many peoples, nations and tongues.
f. “As Baha'u'llah entered the temple by the Bab facing east, the Spirit lifted me up, and brought me into the inner court...” Ez 43:4
g. “and behold, the glory of God filled the temple. While the man was standing beside me, I heard one speaking to me out of the temple; and he said to me, 'Son of man, this is the place of my throne and the place of the soles of my feet, where I will dwell in the midst of the people of Israel forever.' Ez 43:6-7 The throne is David's throne, Baha'ullah is a descendant of King David, it is now seated on Mt. Carmel
I Baha'ullah was prophesied to come from the East to Israel, in Isaiah 35:1-2:
“the wilderness and the dry land shall be glad, the desert shall rejoice and blossom; like the crocus it shall blossom abundantly, and rejoice with joy and singing. The glory of Lebanon shall be given to it, the majesty of Carmel and Sharon. They shall see the glory of the Lord [Baha'ullah], and the majesty of our God”
j. the Sultan of Turkey enacted an edict of toleration for the jews to enter Jerusalem again in 1844, in 1868 the Jews were allowed to buy land there once again.
Date
a. Jesus' disciples asked three questions:
when are you coming
what will be the sign of your coming
what is the sign of the closing of the age
b. Jesus answered in Matt 24:15:
“So when you see the desolating sacrilege spoken of by the prophet, Daniel; stanind in the holy place (let the reader understand).”
c. This answer refers to Daniel 8:13-14:
“Then I heard a holy one speaking; and another holy one said to the one that spoke, 'For how long is the vision concerning the continual burnt offering, the transgression that makes desolate, and the giving over of the sanctuary and host to be trampled under foot?' And he said to him, 'For two thousand and three hundred evenings and mornings; then the sanctuary shall be restored to its rightful state.”
d. these 2300 years start from the time that the abomination of desolation came to an end-- 457 BC, when the edict was issued to restore and rebuild Jerusalem by Artaxerxes. This comes to 1844. The Baha'i calendar begins on March 21 1844 by the Bab. The order was given on March 21 457.
e. the Bab purified the temple with his martyrdom
f. Daniel Chapter 12 has more prophecies:
“At that time, shall arise Michael [one like God] the great prince [seated on the throne of David], who has charge of your people” Dan 12:1 (see Matt 24:21-22)
g. Daniel speaks of a time, times and a half in Dan 12:5-7:
“Then I Daniel looked, and behold, two others stood, one on this bank of the stream and one on the bank of the stream. And I said to the man clothed in linen, who was above the waters of the stream,' How long shall it be till the end of these wonders? 'The man clothed in linen, who was above the waters of the stream, raised his right hand and his left hand toward heaven; and I heard him swear by him who lives for ever that it would be for a time, two times, and half a time;”
h. 360, the compass of a circle is also the prophetic year of the Rabbis. 360 X 3.5 = 1260 years. 1260 on the Muslim calendar is the same as 1844. They asked Jesus, when would be the close of the age, and He refers us to Daniel who says 1844. refer to Dan 12:10, 'those who are wise shall understand'.
I Daniel 12:11 offers more date specific prophecies:
“And from the time that the continual burnt offering is taken away and the abomination that makes desolate is set up, there shall be a thousand two hundred and ninety days.”
Muhammad did away with burnt offerings, the beginning date refers to the proclomation of Muhammad (-10 AH). “the abomination that makes desolate” refers to the betrayal of the Jewish tribes from Muhammad, in response Muhammad changed the qibla from Jerusalem to Mecca, thus making the holy city Jerusalem desolate. 1290 years from -10AH gives us 1280 which equals 1863 the proclamation of Baha'u'llah to close supporters in Ridwan Garden Baghdad.
4. Zion
a. Isaiah 2:2 “house of the Lord shall be established as the highest of the mountains” Mt. Carmel
b. Isaiah 2:3 “for out of Zion shall go forth the law, and the word of the Lord from Jerusalem” The law shall flow out of the Universal House of Justice with the Davidic Kingship as the pResident or head of it. Zion is the city of David, the law will go forth from Zion. New Jerusalem of Rev 21:10 is the new law which shall establish lasting peace and justice.
c. Jesus did not have the government on his shoulders: “render to Caesar the things that are Caesar's (luke 20:25)
d. Jesus said:
“I have yet many things to say to you, but you cannot bear them now. When the Spirit of truth comes, He will guide you into all truth.” (John 16:13)
e. Isaiah 9:7 reads:
“Of the increase of his government and of peace there will be no end, upon the throne of David, and over his kingdom, to establish it and to uphold it with justice and with righteousness from this time forth and for evermore.”
f. “And there shall come forth a rod out of the stem of Jesse, and a Branch shall grow out of his roots...” (Isaiah 11:1) Jesse is the father of David, David is a rod, which is the scepter of the king. The kingship is the everlasting kingship of David. This shall appear in the latter days, today: “Branch shall grow out”. The root of Jesse is Baha'u'llah who is seated on the throne of David. The next verse Isaiah 11:2-3 refers to Abdu'l-Baha:
“And there shall come fort a rod out of the stem of Jesse, and a branch shall grow out of his roots: and the spirit of the Lord shall rest upon him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the Lord, and shall make him of quick understanding in the fear of the Lord; and he shall not judge after the sight of his eyes, neither reprove after the hearing of his ears...”
Abdu'l-Baha will not establish justice in the world personally but through his Will and Testament he delineates the Universal House of Justice with the Guardian as its head or President. “And in that day there shall be a root of Jesse, which shall stand for an ensigh of the people; to it shal the Gentiles seek: and his rest shall be glorious.” (Isaiah 11:10). The gentiles shall seek Baha'u'llah. Abud'l-Baha adopted a gentile, Mason Remey, as his son. This son was appointed by the first Guardian Shoghi Effendi to be the next Guardian and the successor to the Davidic kingship. This fulfills the the prophecy of Gen. 49:10.
5. Second Gathering
a. Isaiah 11:11 reads:
“And it shall come to pass in that day, that the Lord shall set his hand again the second time to recover the remnant of his people, which shall be left, from Assyria, and from Egypt, and from Pathyro, and from Cush, and from Elam, anf from Shinar, and from Hamath, and from the islands of the sea.”
b. the first gathering was by the Hand of Baha'ullah. Baha'ullah and his family were of the tribes of Judah and Benjamin; as a descendant of David, Baha'u'llah Himself was of the tribe of Judah. A remnant of thes lost ten tribes accepted Baha'ullah and went with Him to Israel. They joined Him and His other followers, thus reuniting the twelve tribes. This was the first gathering.
c. Baha'u'llah extends this gathering through His Covenant anyone who accepts Baha'u'llahs Covenant is grafted into the twelve tribes of Israeel under it's new name Baha'i. [only the Guardian can declare someone a Covenant breaker]
d. for the second gathering Daniel gives us a third date, which is the 1335 Days of Daniel 12:12. From the victory of Muhammad in 628 BCE brings us to 1963 in solar years. The 7th Angel shall be the person that executes the second gathering (see Zechariah 3 and the book of Revelations).
