.... through Mason's Archive at Stanford this jumped out at me. It was written by SE to MR upon the news of MR's wife's suicide. During this period Shoghi called MR "your affectionate brother" and "true brother". I am posting the intimate note written on the back in SE's hand writing rather then typed by his Secretary, who at this time was his cousin Ruhi Afnan.
"Dear and praised coworker:
My heart feels deeply the loss you have sustained and goes out to you in loving, true sympathy. Be not heartbroken, and never allow this sorrow, however poignant, nor any financial difficulty, to mar the radiance of your devotion to the Cause, or lessen your eagerness to promote its interest far and wide. Your mission is not yet concluded, and the Beloved will continue to see you as an instrument for the execution of HIs Divine Purpose, rest assured: my prayers will continue to be offered on your behalf.
Your true brother,
Shoghi"
