APPOINTMENT, TERM OF OFFICE AND REMOVAL OF OFFICERS
Liaison officer.
The appointment, term of office and removal of the liaison officer shall be as set forth in the pattern of Shoghi Effendi's constitution for the second International Baha'i Council as seen in his cablegram of March 8, 1952.
As one of the twelve apostles of the Lamb, the liaison officer is, therefore, subject to appointment and removal by the Lamb only and no other person, body or entity.
The term of office of the Liaison officer is further elaborated upon in the section concerning the powers duties and authority of the Liaison officer.
President.
The appointment, term of office and removal of the president of the council entitled the Guardian of the Cause of God shall be as set forth in the provisions of the sacred Will and Testament of 'Abdu'l-Baha on page 12 and page 14 of that Charter.
Vice-president, Secretary, Treasurer and Assistant Secretaries.
In the appointed stages of the second International Baha'i Council and World Court the appointment, term of office and removal of these officers, as apostles of the Lamb, is therefore subject to appointment and removal by the Lamb only and no other person, body or entity as set forth in the pattern of Shoghi Effendi's constitution for the second International Baha'i Council (Cablegram March 2, 1951 and March 8, 1952).
The appointment, term of office and removal of these officers in the elected body of the Supreme Tribunal and later, in its efflorescence into the Universal House of Justice shall be subject to the procedure established at that time in accordance with Baha'i principles and not inconsistent with the sacred Will and Testament of 'Abdu'l-Baha which is the Charter of the World Order of Baha'u'llah.
