Module 4 Goals and Learning Objectives

Module 4 Goals

Module 4 provides strategies for assessing risks to healthy development presented in Module 3 by focusing on building protective factors in families. This in-person workshop gives resources that facilitate family preservation and early family reunification or alternative permanency planning are presented.

Learning Objectives

After completing Module 4, CASAs will be able to:

• Identify the five protective factors against abuse and neglect

• Understand service systems and resources available that support young children

• Specify individual roles of agencies and systems such as Department of Mental Health, Regional Center, Public Schools, Medical, MAT assessments

• Coordinate services for children and families across service agencies

• Understand when, where, and how to make referrals
