12 peeled, deveined shrimp
200g chicken, cut into small pieces
1tbsp paprika
1tbsp red chilly powder
1tsp cumin powder
1tsp old bay seasoning ( you can also use Cajun)
1 big tomato
1 cup chopped bell pepper
1 cup chopped green onion
3 cups chicken broth
1 cup brown rice
2 tbsp butter
- Melt butter in a pan and add chicken cubes.
- Stir till it cooks. sprinkle some salt.
- Add bell pepper, green onion and stir for 2 min.
- Then add paprika, cumin powder, red chilly powder,old bay seasoning and salt.
- Mix well for couple of minutes.
- Add finely chopped tomato. Cook till tomato become soft.
- Add chicken broth and salt. when it boils, add rice into it.
- Cook on medium flame for 45 min.Add some water to cook rice, if you need.
- Now add shrimp and cook for 5 min.
- When its done, garnish with green onion.
Note: If you are using white rice, allow it to cook for 30min. White rice cooks faster than brown rice.
