Ingredients
1 cup kidney beans
1/2 cup horse gram
1/2 stick butter
1/2 cup whipping cream
1/4 tsp garam masala
1/4 tsp turmeric powder
1/2 tsp red chilli powder
1/2 tsp cumin seeds
3 tomatoes, pureed
1 tsp ginger garlic paste
1 tsp corriander powder
Oil
Salt
Method:
- Soak kidney beans and horse gram overnight or for 6 hrs
- Pressure cook the above items till it turns soft.
- Heat 1 tsp oil in sauce pan and add cumin seeds.
- Add ginger garlic paste and sauté till raw smell goes out.
- Now add tomato purée,all masala powders and salt.
- Cover and cook till tomato purée becomes thick for about 10 min.
- Now add dal and mash it.
- You can add some water depends on how thick you want your sauce to be.
- Keep in mind that cream which you will add at the end will also thin your sauce a bit.
- Cover and cook for about 5 min.
- Add butter and allow it to melt .
- Mix the sauce well and check for salt at this time.
- Now add cream, mix well and switch off the stove.
- Don't cook after you add the cream.
