Ingredients:
1lb chicken thigh
1cup finely chopped red onion
2 tomatoes, finely chopped
1 green chilly, cut into lengthwise
2tsp curry powder
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 inch cinnamon stick
3 cloves
1 bay leaves
4 tbsp oil
1 string curry leaves
2tsp ginger garlic paste
Coriander leaves, chopped
Method:
- Heat oil in a sauce pan.
- Fry cinnamon stick, cloves and bay leaves
- Add onion and sautee till it turns translucent.
- Add ginger garlic paste, chilly and saute for 2min
- Add curry leaves and tomatoes
- Keep mixing it for some time till tomatoes becomes really soft.
- Then add curry powder and salt. Stir for 2min
- Add chicken to this masala and mix till pink color disappear.
- Add 2cups water, mix well and close the sauce pan.
- Cook till the water disappears and gravy loses its oil.
- Switch off and sprinkle coriander leaves.
