Sweet Rolls- Terese

INGREDIENTS:

  • 4 C. warm, not hot, water
  • 3 T. yeast
  • 1 T. sugar
  • 1/2 C. non instant or 1 C. instant milk powder
  • 3/4 C. sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 12-13 C. flour
  • 1 C. oil
  • 1 T. salt

INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. Combine water, 1 T. sugar and yeast and let foam. ~5 min.
  2. Add milk powder, 3/4 C. sugar, eggs, 6 C. of the flour, oil, and salt. Beat for 5 minutes.
  3. Add 6-7 C. more flour to make a soft dough. Knead 5-10 min.
  4. Place in oiled bowl and let raise 1 hour or more until light.
  5. Roll out about 1/4 of the dough into a rectangle about 1/2" thick.
  6. Brush with melted butter, sprinkle with brown sugar and cinnamon. Add raisins or nuts if wanted.
  7. Roll up jelly roll style and cut into rolls with sewing thread.
  8. Place rolls on a 5-7 until all dough is formed into rolls.
  9. Bake at 350o F for 15 min. Frost while warm.

MAKES: 4 doz.
