INGREDIENTS:
- 4 C. warm, not hot, water
- 3 T. yeast
- 1 T. sugar
- 1/2 C. non instant or 1 C. instant milk powder
- 3/4 C. sugar
- 4 eggs
- 12-13 C. flour
- 1 C. oil
- 1 T. salt
INSTRUCTIONS:
- Combine water, 1 T. sugar and yeast and let foam. ~5 min.
- Add milk powder, 3/4 C. sugar, eggs, 6 C. of the flour, oil, and salt. Beat for 5 minutes.
- Add 6-7 C. more flour to make a soft dough. Knead 5-10 min.
- Place in oiled bowl and let raise 1 hour or more until light.
- Roll a small amount, approximately the size of a soft ball, into a circle and brush with melted butter.
- Cut with a pizza cutter to make 8 wedges.
- Roll up from wide edge and place on a greased cookie sheet.
- Brush with more melted butter
- Repeat steps 5-8 for the rest of the dough.
- Let raise 30-45 min and bake at 350o F or 15 min.
MAKES: 5 doz. dinner rolls
