2019-01-08 First puncture stop of the new year!

Derek Lambert led a great ride to the Cricketers at Redbourn. I am frequently amazed by the ability of our leaders to come up with new routes to regular haunts and this was one of those occasions. Great weather, good pace and just the right amount of hills for me. We fought the wind all the way there but St Albans cyclists came back along the Redbourn Road at breakneck speed with the wind behind us. We beat the walking group to the pub for once and service was very good at probably our most xpensive lunch destination. Derek and Gareth had punctures probably as a result of hedge trimmings but both were quickly mended.
