Steve Webster and Dave Andrews ended up in the Lister Hospital after an accident near Bramfield. A large car "cut in too early" while passing the second group of Inter cyclists causing Dave and Steve to crash. Police and ambulance services attended the scene and a doctor on his way to the Lister provided "excellent assistance". Steve suffered a broken wrist and Dave (still in hospital at the time of writing) a broken collarbone and punctured lung. The "grey haired" driver of the black car didn't stop to see the mayhem caused by their irresponsible driving: Steve and Dave are two of our most capable and experienced club cyclists, the road is wide - no need for a car to have been so close or cut in so quickly. Thank you to Colin Burns who went with Dave and Steve to the Lister and to Charlie Lynn who collected their bikes for them. Photo from earlier ride.
