2015-10-27 The never ending puncture

Today your regular blogger, who has been known to poke fun at 40 Plus members for the time they have taken to mend a puncture, ate humble pie. I learned that (1) even the best tyres can puncture when assaulted by an arrow-like Hertfordshire flint; (2) that it is a good idea to carry a spare inner tube that has been properly repaired; (3) to remove Marathon tyres you may need a set of tyre levers! I eventually set off for Caddington at 11.30, an hour late - is this a record? Thanks to Ian Gow for the photo.
