There are several sources directly available from the university; two of which are the 301 Skills Centre and the instructional materials available on the Philosophy Hub.
There absolutely is, for both concerns about a single/several modules, or for work-in-general. If you feel you're struggling with a single module, or perhaps several, your personal advisor is a good first-step. For UGs, you can find who that advisor is here: PHI Hub - Personal advisor pairings.

If it is a short absence of less than seven days, please fill out the Student-Self-Certification (SSC) form on the right. Fill it in and email to philosophy@sheffield.ac.uk.
LONGER TERM -
If you feel the absence could be more than a week, or if you're not sure it will be less than seven days, please review the information regarding Extenuating Circumstances, filling out the form included if necessary, and emailing it philosophy.attendance@sheffield.ac.uk and a-m.frisby@sheffield.ac.uk with details.
