Disability at Sheffield SU is a facebook group set up by Iz (Disabled Student Officer) and Bethany Halliwell [Disabled Students' Representative Councillor] along with the Disabled Student Committee the group aims to be vigilant in ensuring that Sheffield University is a safe, welcoming and encouraging place for all participants regardless of race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, economic status or anything else. AccessABLE:
AccessABLE is an online guide that provides accessibility information about buildings across the UK and Ireland. The guide can show you wheelchair friendly venues and shares details of disabled access and facilities at a variety of places including restaurants, cinemas, universities and more.
In partnership with AccessAble, the University has developed a dedicated mobile app, AccessAble - UOS, to make accessing this information about all of our University buildings and services easier. The information includes a number of route plans to help navigate across campus.
