Our student-staff forum [SSF] is the main place to raise any concerns, feedback or ideas, within the philosophy programme
The SSF comprises of student representatives and members of staff from the philosophy programme
Action points created at SSF are then taken forward to the school's Education Committee and may ultimately be discussed at a School Meeting or the School's Executive Board, to inform decisions that impact future learning and teaching policy and practices.
Your representatives are made up from all taught degrees, with single and dual honours undergraduates represented, as well as post graduate taught students.
However when it comes to the meetings, ALL students are welcome to come along.
If you would like to get involved in Student-Staff Forum, please email StudentexperienceteamPHI@sheffield.ac.uk
The meetings are also attended by staff from the School including the Senior Tutor and members of the professional services team. Other selected members of teaching and support staff will be invited to the meeting, depending on the topics for discussion.
We always invite Kate Grigsby to our meetings. Kate is the library liaison for the school, and is more than happy to be contacted directly with any concerns you may have or alternatively you can contact your student representatives
Topics can be raised by any student and you can communicate your concerns/questions to your student representatives, who will raise these with the forum and report back.
You can come along and raise issues ideas or suggestions yourself, either in person or via our online suggestion form
