2024/2025 Module Choice Information for Continuing Students [Levels 2 and 3]

Module Allocation Selection instructions

The Philosophy Department uses a module pre-selection system for its Single and Dual honours students. The process will take into account student’s preferences. Anyone submitting their preferences by the designated deadline will have an equal chance to get a place on their desired modules. The process is automated and anonymised.

What you need to do:

** Complete Pre-Selection Process **

Our online google form is now open!

YOU MUST BE LOGGED INTO MUSE TO ACCESS THE FORM

The online forms are found in the links below - there are 2 forms, one for Level 2 modules and one for Level 3 modules.

The forms close at 8am on Monday 29th April 2024.

You will be asked for your registration number, name, the number of courses you wish to take in philosophy and your module preferences. You can return to edit your preferences until 7.59am on 29th April 2024.

(The longer your list of preferences the more likely it is that you will receive a place in the modules you want.)

GOOGLE FORMS - PLEASE USE THE FORMS BELOW TO MAKE YOUR MODULE CHOICES

** Module allocation and result publication **

We will allocate modules that satisfy the greatest set of preferences, and these will be posted below on Friday 3rd May at noon, by Registration No. for your information.

Your chosen preferences will be PRE-LOADED to your student record.

You can also view your modules for 24/25 on MyRecord on MUSE.

** For students who DO  NOT complete pre-selection process **

You will need to complete the Online Module Choice (OMC) process. The OMC system opens at 8.00 am on Tuesday 7th May 2024.

You access OMC through MUSE. A link will appear on your “myRecord” from Tuesday 7th May 2024.

Enter your choice of modules - as you have not completed pre-selection your choice of modules may be limited!

OMC Closes on Friday 24th May at 5pm

If you do not chose 120 credits of modules via either process (pre-selection OR online module choice) then you will have to choose your modules when the system opens again - in July following Spring results release.  Modules maybe full by this stage.
