The Health and Safety at Work etc. Act 1974 and the Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations 1999 require The University of Sheffield to identify the organisational arrangements for implementing its health and safety policy. Under the Management of Health and Safety Regulations 1999 The University of Sheffield has a duty to carry out suitable and sufficient risk assessments of the risk faced by their employees and, where appropriate, by non-employees. 

Below, you will find templates prepared on behalf of the department. Colleagues are encouraged to use these as a starting point when preparing a risk assessment and make amendments as appropriate. These are annually reviewed, so please download a new template from this page each time you need to complete an RA.
