NCEA Level 2 Financial Literacy
Aim 
This course is intended for students who have not always found the study of Mathematics easy but are keen to continue with the subject. The course develops a student's ability to use Mathematics in real life contexts and with a clear focus on personal finance.
Course content
- Core mathematical skills for financial maths
- Designing statistical questionnaires
- Applying network methods
- Evaluating insurance products
- Producing budgets for individuals
- The effect of life events on personal finance
Assessment
There are a variety of assessment tasks and school examinations. There will be no externally assessed standards in this course.

Full course completion - 17 credits at NCEA Level 2
