This course is regarded as an extension of Woodwork 11. The students become more independent in the use of machine tools, the design and construction of pieces of furniture and in the application of finishing materials. The course will start with small skill-building projects as instruction transitions to an individualized approach so that students may proceed at their own pace on the project of their choice. Upon completion of this course, students will be capable cabinet makers and ready for career opportunities, post-secondary options or apprenticeships.
