4 credits
This course is for students looking to be challenged with the engineering design process. Students will work in groups to tackle engineering problems by using concepts learned in math and physics while simultaneously engaging their hands-on skills to develop solutions. Students will use a variety of equipment and materials in the woodshop, metal shop and design lab to build products while developing their technical skills with CNC-controlled 3D printers, laser engravers and routers. Students wishing to take this course should be open to collaborative problemsolving, learning new skills, and accepting that product failure is part of the learning and design process.
