The University of Peradeniya is home to a vibrant array of student societies dedicated to sustainability and environmental conservation. These student-led organizations play a pivotal role in fostering a culture of environmental awareness and action on our campus.  These student societies  educate their members and the wider student body about sustainability through workshops, presentations, events, and social media campaigns. They get involved in a variety of sustainability projects, such as recycling programs, composting initiatives, and energy saving projects. They also volunteer their time to help local communities. Student societies  use social media to raise awareness about sustainability and promote sustainable practices. They share information about sustainability events and initiatives, or create campaigns to encourage people to live more sustainably.
