Sustainability Research Funded by the University

The University of Peradeniya is known for its commitment to sustainable development, and it actively contributes to this field by publishing several journals dedicated to various aspects of sustainability. These journals serve as vital platforms for academic research and knowledge dissemination in the context of sustainable development.

The inception of the Ceylon Journal of Science dates back to 1924 when it was originally established under the government of Ceylon. Later, in 1942, following the establishment of the University of Ceylon, the administration of the journal was transferred to the University of Peradeniya.

International Journal of Environmental Issues (IJEI)

The International Journal of Environmental Issues (IJEI) serves as the official journal of the Postgraduate Institute of Science (PGIS) at the University of Peradeniya in Sri Lanka. Embracing an interdisciplinary approach, IJEI addresses a broad spectrum of environmental topics, making it a comprehensive platform for the discussion and exploration of environmental issues.

The International Journal of Environmental Issues (IJEI) is the official publication of the Postgraduate Institute of Science (PGIS) at the University of Peradeniya. This journal adopts an interdisciplinary perspective, encompassing a wide range of environmental subjects, thus providing a comprehensive platform for the examination and discourse of environmental concerns.

The Sri Lanka Journal of the Humanities (SLJH), which debuted in 1975, succeeded the Ceylon Journal of the Humanities. SLJH has gained recognition as it is included in the International Bibliography of Periodical Literature (IBZ).

Launched in 2009, the Sri Lanka Bulletin of Nursing & Allied Health Sciences is a journal produced by the Faculty of Allied Health Science. The primary mission and goals of this quarterly bulletin revolve around the dissemination of information regarding the progress, research, and initiatives in the domains of Nursing and Allied Health education within Sri Lanka.

Debuting in 2017, the Peradeniya Management Review is a journal dedicated to publishing contemporary research in the realm of Management. Its principal goal is to share both theoretical and practical research articles, along with review articles and book reviews, pertaining to Management within the broader academic community.

The Sri Lankan Journal of Health Sciences is issued by the Faculty of Allied Health Sciences at the University of Peradeniya. This peer-reviewed open-access journal is published bi-annually and serves as a platform for researchers to present their research and scholarly contributions. Its scope encompasses various fields, including Nursing, Medical Laboratory Sciences, Physiotherapy, Pharmacy, Radiography, and Radiotherapy, among others.
