Goal 15: Life on Land

 Life on Land

Sustainable Development Goal 15 (SDG 15) focuses on Life on Land, aiming to protect, restore, and promote the sustainable use of terrestrial ecosystems. This goal recognizes the critical importance of land-based ecosystems for human well-being and the survival of countless species. SDG 15 emphasizes the need to combat desertification, halt land degradation, and prevent the loss of biodiversity. It calls for the conservation and sustainable management of forests, wetlands, and other natural habitats, as well as the restoration of degraded lands. Achieving SDG 15 contributes not only to the preservation of terrestrial ecosystems and their biodiversity but also to addressing climate change and ensuring sustainable land use practices. By promoting responsible land stewardship, SDG 15 plays a crucial role in maintaining the delicate balance of life on land for current and future generations.
