Zoomed and Cropped Shoe

The subject of my creation was a zoomed in image of shoe laces that I later added color to but not the color the laces and shoe was but abstract colors and shapes that allowed my creation to be different that all of the other creations. The work was made using a viewfinder that I then used a similar scale and copied that view onto a bigger sheet of paper which allowed me to get the shapes that I later colored at random. I chose to use abstract colors because I wanted it to look different compared to the other drawings that other kids decided to make and I also wanted to make it so that it was nearly impossible to tell what the original drawing was of.

I used leading lines and grouping of colors to divide the page into different sections which allowed me to color them differently and that meant that the leading lines separate the colors. My project evolved from a single shoe drawing into a zoomed and colored shoe lace.

The meaning behind the artwork is to shoe how using opposite colors can allow the artwork to pop and it makes certain colors pop and it highlights every color. My project relates to my life because everyday I look down at my shoes and this drawing was of my shoes. I think my artwork could be stronger if I removes the amount of white space in my artwork.
