Linocut Relief Print

For this project, we made a print of a self portrait, and had to make four different prints. One that was black and white, one that was hand colored, one that had an alternate back round, and the last one could be whatever we wanted. For my alternate back round, I chose a space themed back round and planets, because space really interests me, and science is one of my favorite subjects. For the hand colored one, I made my face into a tiger. I did this because I wanted to, and it was more unique than using color pencils or water color to paint the print with just colors. For the last print, we could do whatever we wanted. Again, I wanted to be unique, so I printed it in red, and then took yellow and pressed the ink onto the print using my finger. My favorite is the tiger, because it is the most detailed, and I think it looks really cool.
