Sustained Investigation #10

I wanted to include a 3-D element for this project, and I also wanted to experiment with mixed media again. I really wanted to make sure I included multiple subjects as well. I decided to use oil pastel, because I didn't want the faces to be too detailed. I was planning to use construction paper, but it was brought to my attention that magazine paper would be a much better choice. By using magazine paper, I connected the project to my question even further by using mostly hair and skin as the petals on the flowers. I also wasn't planning to add any green, but then I thought it would be good to add contrast to the piece. The one thing I would fix is to aadd more shades and colors to the flowers, just to make them stand out more and provide even more contrast with the background.
