Sustained Investigation #5

This artwork is a drawing of my friend, Kattin, who was an exchange student from Spain that came here during my sophomore year. I favorite part of the piece is how I shaded her face. I just think it looks really good, and it's a good representation of what I'm capable of as an artist (unlike SI #2, which was a disaster). The one thing I would change is how the black moves into the more colorful part of the piece. I would make the transition much smoother and gradual. I would also put so more flowers on the other side of her, just to balance out the piece.
