For this piece, I wanted to do something plant themed. I chose one figure helping the other one "grow." I wanted to go with a simple approach with this one, focusing on the plants and plant themed mandalas in the background, other than the two subjects. That's why I chose to put minimal detail into the people, and wanted to reduce them to outlined figures. One of my favorite parts of this piece is how the text turned out. I've never used text in art before, and I really like it sticks to the nature theme and uses color to tie into the piece. Since I wanted to keep this simple and used mostly select coloring, I didn't know what to add to the background without overloading the piece, so I kept it white.
