I chose to do a picture of myself for my linocut. I edited it until it was only black and white. I printed it out and transferred it onto my linoleum block. I carved out the areas that were white in the picture. I then covered it completely in ink and made three practice prints. After I got a feel for what I was doing I began on my four final prints. I made sure to add enough ink to the board and printed my black and white. I was happy with this one because there were no unwanted white spots or smudges. For my second print I used red ink for the print, then used sharpie to fill in the background with dots. For the third print I chose a floral wall paper sample and used black ink to print on that. For my fourth and final print I attempted to create and ombré print going from yellow to orange. When I printed it on the paper, it smudged and did not work the way I wanted it to. I decided to do something else with orange ink but smudged that one too. Nate Davis came along, picked up my linoleum block and printed the red on top of my messed up ombré print.
