Artist statement

I chose to use trees and branches as my shadows for this project. The sun is shinning on the trees and branches. The shadows are on the snow. I took this photo at my house. This image was taken on my phone and I had to get lower on the ground to get the better angle. This image is for the shadows part of the unit and my concentration is focusing on the sky so I decided to take the photo of the shadows and capture the sky in it too so I could include my concentration.

I was trying to capture the shadows but also include my concentration of the sky. Which I ended up doing. I ended up getting both in the photo. increased the black point so the shadows are more visible.

When I was looking at the shadows I could kinda see a star. Its kind of like people we each have a special little thing about us but sometimes you have to look for it and its not always easy to find. this project relates to my life because I have never thought I was talented with anything but sometimes I find random things that i'm good at and it just takes time to fine the hidden things. I am gonna try to reteach myself how to use photoshop and be able to do more things with the color.
