Family dynamics

Artist statement

For this unit we had to take photos of family doing their like normal thing that they do. Unfortunately I do not own my own film camera and was already a little behind on this project. The only camera I could use was one of the school and that strictly has to stay at school. I had the idea of taking pictures of people that were related at school because it still counts as family just not my family.

The first photo is of Ryleigh and Courtney Smith they are twin sisters and this isn't really them doing something that they normally do but the photo I thought was really cute and sometimes they don't always get along so it was nice to see something different. The second photo was of Evan and Elizabeth Avasthi they are brother and sister and normally in school they are never together and also they are never smiling when they are, this was an unusual photo of them and first the photo was posed but I didn't like how it looked because they were fake smiling then I made them both laugh and this photo was more of a candid photo.

If I could redo this project then I would try harder to take photos of my family but That would be hard to do since I dont own my own film camera also it takes a while to do each project when it come to film.
