Time Capsules

.) The subject of these creations is to take objects in our every day life and try to draw them just from what we see.

.) This work was made just with four pieces of paper, a pencil and mirror.

.) I used lines and texture to create these specific pieces of artwork. I chose to do this because I wanted to make these drawings as realistic looking as possible.

.) The technique I chose to use was selective focus because I was zoning in on specific things that I wanted to draw, and I needed to focus on them because I wanted to see lots of detail.

.) Overtime my project evolved just by me erasing and redrawing lines that I didn't think looked quite right to me.

.) The meaning behind the artwork is that it's representing how hard it can be to draw something just from ones memory, and only using your eyes to know where everything is exactly placed.

.) This project relates to my life because I took everyday objects, and drew them so they looked as realistic as possible.

.) If I could revise I probably would have spent even longer on my self portrait, obviously it isn't as realistic as I would have liked it to look. I think that was the most difficult one to draw.
