.) The subject of my creation is a tennis ball, toy shark, and a pole that holds up a doll with an ocean background. I chose this for my love of the ocean, and my desire to become a Marine Biologist when I get older.
.) This piece of artwork was made using 2H and 4B pencils, and water colors. I used pure contour to darken and define the lines of the objects that were closer to me and used a lighter pencils for the lines farther away.
.) I chose to create this artwork because we needed to choose some objects that had some meaning, and also this objects needed to have some interesting positive space. By making the objects go off on 3 sides of the paper it made it so the objects weren't boring and stuck in the middle.
.) I used the Rule of Thirds to make sure the objects weren't stuck in the middle. I also used pure contour to to make certain lines pop out.
.) My first drawing was boring and not very well done. It didn't have interesting space, and was smack center in the middle of the page. I decided to take 3 completely different objects and decided to follow all the guidelines for the project, and gave it interesting space.
.) The meaning behind this work is to take everyday objects that have some sort of meaning linking to me and putting it with a background that it not necessarily would be found with, but draws in the meaning of the objects.
.) My project relates to my life because it demonstrates what I aspire to be when I grow up, and it also has objects that are connected to my interests.
.) I don't necessarily like how to waters colors made one part of the ocean look. Also, the grey I used for the shark and the background was a little too light, so it looks like there is no color there when there really is.
