1.) The subject of my piece is domestic violence. I wanted to represent the feelings of a person who is affected by domestic violence, so I represented the feelings of caged, feeling like blood is everywhere, feeling like you're chained and feeling like you are not wanted/a danger to others.
2.) I first began the process by making the background using different textures and materials. Then I created a linolium stamp that I carved my design onto. Then I stamped the design onto many different backgrounds and chose 4 I liked. And finally, I extended the 4 I liked the most.
3.) The meaning behind my artwork is with the messages I wrote on them. I want people to know that if they are victims of domestic violence they should let someone know, and that they can get help.
4.) If I could change anything about my designs it would be to change my backgrounds. I feel like they didn't have as interesting of a design as I would have wanted them to.
