What is the subject of your creation?

This was the piece of a giant puzzle. The idea behind it was to develop our enlarging skills, and we would see how well we enlarged our pictures once we compared it to everyone else's.


How was the work made?

I used oil based pastels, water, and paint brushes to achieve my finished product.


Why did you choose to create this specific artwork?

The class chose to create this so in the end we could make one big pieced together, piece of artwork.


What techniques are showcased in your artwork?

Leading lines is what is showcased in this artwork because the lines are march darker and bolder than the rest because those are the most important part when lining up our drawings.


How did your project evolve?

Overtime i had to change the size of my lines because I realized that some parts were much smaller in comparison to the rest of my piece.


What is the meaning behind the artwork?

The meaning behind the artwork is that we wanted to learn how to burnish our colors, and in order to do that we had to use water and a paintbrush and smooth out the certain spaces one color at a time.


How might you consider revising your artwork in the future?

I might consider making my lines a little bit cleaner because some of the colors smudged into different sections.
