I handed detailed math progress reports in class this week to all of the students present. Although we are barely into our new marking period, we already have several grades entered including the last Unit Test 2C.3A and Spiral Test 2C.3A. Only the main section (Triangles Test) needs to be retested if the grade is below a 63. Students who need to retest must come to a tutorial and bring a completed retest form and complete the reteach-retest packet. I gave all of the affected students the opportunity to sign up for a retest before the spots fill up as well as get a copy of the reteach packet and the retest form so you shouldn't need to print these out.
If they made a 63 to 69 on the Triangles portion of the test, then they may correct it to raise the grade up to a 70%. The Spiral Portion can also be corrected from any grade up to a 70. Quiz 2C/3A may also be corrected up to a 70. Corrections must be correct and all work must be shown in order to raise the grade. I am very happy to help and check corrections during tutorials.
If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me. Have a wonderful Thanksgiving.
