Unit B Exam Ch 5-6

The Unit B exam will cover chapters 5 and 6.

Notes on Answer Key: Some of the answers on the answer key will not match your calculator, especially for Q1 and Q3 which can be calculated by two different ways.  Calculator values are also acceptable on the review. On the test, you will be expected to do some hand calculations of IQR, Q1 and Q3 by hand.

#10: I am not getting that $1200 is an outlier either by hand or with the calculator.  I still would use the median because the distribution is not symmetric.

Retesting an Exam: If you make less than a 70 on the test, you may raise the grade to as high as a 70 by completing and passing the retest.  In order to retest, you must bring either a corrected exam showing all work for similar problems missed on the exam. If an exam could not be handed back because it was a district assessment, then you can bring a completed review packet.  For each missed problem, you should write a complete sentence like "I would have gotten this problem right if ..." on your corrections. Please allow at least 30 minutes for a retest in tutorials.  The retest must be completed in 1 session.  Getting a lower grade on your retest will not lower your test grade.
