Students were assigned a project to write about a great mathematician. The project will count as a test grade, so it is a great opportunity to raise the average for students who struggle with tests. I am attaching the project guidelines which will be handed out during class. It should be two pages double spaced.
Assignments will be submitted to www.turnitin.com no later than 9/24
Click on create account and then student (near the bottom) and you will be prompted for a class ID and password. The password is the same for all of the classes.

Guiding Question: To what extent have great mathematicians influenced the math we learn today?
TEK G.1B: Recognize the historical development of geometric systems and know mathematics is developed for a variety of purposes.
You are asked to research a mathematician on the internet and come up with enough information to write a 2 page document. The first page being a small biography of the mathematician and the second page will describe his/her contribution to mathematics. Your report must include a cover page with a picture/drawing of your mathematician, the name of the mathematician, and your name.
Have fun with this project!
