Task 9: Make a perpendicular bisector.
I'll show you the easy perpendicular bisector tool and how to make a perpendicular bisector tool using the compass.
Task 10: Construct a kite using only the diagonals.
The diagonals of a kite must be perpendicular. One diagonal is bisected by the other. The other is NOT bisected.
We will use the perpendicular bisector and/or midpoint tool for this and the later constructions.
Task 11: Construct a Parallelogram from Diagonals
Both diagonals must bisect each other.
Task 12: Construct a Rhombus from Diagonals (To Be Graded)
Note that the difference between a kite and a rhombus is that the diagonals are perpendicular like a kite and bisected like a parallelogram.
I will test your rhombus by adjusting each diagonal. I may delete sides so don't use those sides of the rhombus for the construction.
Task 13: Construct a Rectangle from the diagonals.
Both diagonals must bisect each other and they must be congruent
Task 14: Construct a Square from the diagonals. (To be Graded)
The diagonals of a square must have the properties of both a rhombus and a rectangle.
The PRE-AP Geogebra Project Grades 4 total constructions
A Square constructed from one Side
A Parallelogram constructed from two consecutive Sides
A Rhombus constructed from one or two Diagonals
A Square constructed from one Diagonal
