ABSTRACT
In the last two years of working at the school Building Blocks, there has been a noticeable increase of children with various disabilities. This grant can provide help for children with a range of disabilities, from Attention-Deficit/Hyperactive Disorder (ADHD) to disabilities where children are in a wheelchair or in need of a device to help them get around the room. Most of these children come from homes where funds are low. It is challenging for the families to find the resources for their child to get the help they need. These families have a hard time getting equipment for their home, let alone for the child to have adequate tools for success at school. A grant for $5,000.00 will be used to help the children to grow in their educational experiences as they use these devices. This grant will bring more equity to what students with disabilities can do in Building Block's classrooms. This grant will also provide technology or therapy resources for children in the preschool, such as a pencil holder, hand railings inside and outside the school, a highchair, and fine motor and large motor equipment for them to receive therapy.
